- 91%+ isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol — works great in a pinch and is available at any drugstore or pharmacy.
How to use it: Pour a small amount (start with 1–2 oz) into the burner cup, light it, and let it warm for a few seconds. Once the flame is steady, set your pot or pan on top and cook. A little goes a long way, so adjust the amount based on how long you need to cook.
